Letters  From  God  1st Day:

 Love Is Patient

" Love is patient and kind ..."  Corinthians 13 : 4

Love is patience enduring and long suffering. This means love is tolerant and can endure even in hard times and actually persevere during crises. A person in love is ready to wait upon his or her lover to actually come to terms with their love conditions. For  instance a man can patiently wait upon a young lady who is in the  university or vocational training to finish and then marry her because of love.

A woman who is in love can wait patiently for a spouse or husband who is in abroad for five or more years  to return and settle together. God wants us to have the same virtue of patients to wait for his promises. Once we are able to wait for as long as the promise tarried ,it is a sign of love for God  which is patient. " But let patience have her perfect work.,that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. " James 1 : 4

Page 6

So patient is the way of God that God wants to use to establish our love for God, that is why at times God's promises seems to tarry before they come to pass . " Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. " James 1:3 If we claim to love God ,it would be seen in our patient walk with God, because true love is tested by patience .If we don’t have patience for God to wait upon him to fulfil his promises, it is a sign that we are not in love with God  .

For instance Hebrews 10:36 declares " For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. " Hebrews 10: 36 The will of God is for us to have patience for God and that  signifies the love of God in our hearts. For instance Abraham waited in patience until the promise of God concerning his life came to pass. Because he loved God he didn't go and serve other gods in order for his needs to be met, rather he waited in patience.

"Saying, surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so after he had patiently

 Page 7

endured, he obtained the promise. " Hebrews 6: 14-15  God's way of seeing our love for him is to weigh us on the scale of patience. If we claim to love God it doesn't matter how long it takes for God's promises to be fulfilled in our lives, we will have the patience to wait

upon God for such a promise. People who give up too quickly or soon are not really in love with God.

PRAYER

OH Lord my God give me patience, because I love you ,help to wait patiently until your promise come to pass in my life .

Letters from God  2nd Day :Love Is kind

  " Love is kind and patient " 1 Corinthians 13 : 4

Love is kind means that love makes people to be generous towards those they love. Whenever we love someone we are prone to be generous towards that person. We give so much to such people all because we love them

.  A person in love is a giver in kind and gesture. A person in love gives gifts and passion, or affection. God's love for humanity prompted God to give us long life, daily bread ,rain to water our plantations and a conducive atmosphere on earth for living.

God's kindness towards us is mostly seen in the  way he gave us his son Jesus to be our saviour and deliverer . ( John 3:16 ) God is so kind to human beings that he

makes sure we have angelic protection over our lives all the  time.  " In all their affliction he was afflicted, and

Page 9

the angel of his presence saved them, in his love and in his pity he redeemed them ,and he bare them ,and nd carried them all the days of old ." Isaiah 63 : 9

When God loves us he always redeems us from the slavery of darkness, and also bears us in his saving arms all the time. That is why as his beloved children we are previleged to enjoy the kindness of the Lord for his children. Love is caring for other people the way God loves and cares for his children, and this is an act of kindness. To love in person means to show goodness and mercy to such  a  person especially in the time of need,.So we are  also admonished to love in deed  and not in words .

"  My little children, let us not love in word ,neither  in tongue, but in deed and in truth. " 1 John 3:18 Love shows in good deeds that we do for those we love ,the same God does good deeds for us because of his love. It is not enough to say I love you to someone, but the best is to do good to the person that you love. True love is seen in

Page 10

the things we do for people we love and not in the words we say to them.

That is why God does so many things for us because of his love for us as his beloved children. God wants us to do good and help people for the sake of love and not because the people deserve it, but because of the demonstration of love.

" Give to him that a sketch thee ,and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. " Matthew 5: 42 Love gives, cares ,protects , and helps all who are in need of help as much as possible.

PRAYER

Lord help me to love and show the kindness of love to all the people around  me in Jesus name.

AMEN

Letters From God   3rd Day : Love Is Humble

" Love is not arrogant " 1Corinhians 3:4

Love is not arrogant, this implies the nature of humility in love. In demonstrating love ,one of the things a person does is to humble himself or herself to do some things or to undergo some process that demands humility.

For instance Jesus was demonstrating love for humanity when " he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. " Philippians 1:8   The love that Christ had for human beings prompted this form of humility in his heart.

The word of God made us to understand that Jesus is equal with God in every thing, yet, " who being in the  form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. But made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men ." Philippians 2:6-7 Jesus demonstration of love for us is seen in this very scripture as he humbled himself.

First Jesus was in the  form of God, that means he was

Page 12

equal with God, yet he choose to " make himself of no reputation ",that is humility and took upon him the form of a servant, " that is humility and he was made in the likeness of men " can you imagine God who turns  human, that is total humility and this was the nature of love that he has for humanity to be saved .Show me a person who is in love and I will show you a humble person.

Love can humble people and make them to do mean and ordinary things that, they wouldn't do under normal circumstances. To humble means you decisively submit yourself under someone or something that shouldn't control or rule you. So love displays this character of humility so that it can accomplish it's mission of caring and helping the beloved .

No one can show real love without actually humbling himself and submitting to circumstances, people or situations that challenge love being demonstrated. Any time we humble ourselves before people or because of situation, we probably do so out of love for someone or something.

Prayer Confession

I choose to love ,therefore  henceforth I choose to be humble in everything and everywhere I go in Jesus name.  AMEN

Letters From God  4th Day :

Love Is Not  Selfish

" Love does not insist on its own way "

 1 Corinthians 13 : 5

People in love usually are are very selfless in their love relationship. A person who is in love is just a selfless person who do not live for himself or herself, but lives and does things for the sake of love and because of their loved ones.

So one of the characteristics of love is that it is not selfish in decision making and even in making choices. This means love does not insist on his own, but rather accept a corporate decision from their loved ones.

God also have the same altitude of love towards his children. God took part of our humanity, because of love, that is why God was  made flesh and dwelt with us .

Page 15

" And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness, God was made manifesoing the flesh, justified in the spirit ,seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. " 1 Timothy 3:16 God was still demonstrating love when he left his natural habitation in the Spirit and took over natural habitation in the flesh.

God's love considers our ways  and God also flows with us in our ways ." For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin ." Hebrews 4:165

It is the love of God for humanity that made Jesus to share in  our humanity  .Love is totally living to please the person you love and not yourself, it is living to honour the person you love and not yourself. That is why if we love God, we must live to honour God with our lifestyle all the time.

Our love for God must be seen in the things we do for God in a selfless manner. This means we are practically living

page 16

to please God by doing things not in our own way, but in God's way, according to the will of God for our live. " Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us and we oughtto lay down our lives for the brethren. " 1 John 3 : 16 God wants us to demonstrate the same kind of love he demonstrated for us by dieing for us in the cross of Calvary to others in  a selfish way.

PRAYER TOPIC

1. Love help me to love selflessly,

2. Lord help me to love my neighbour selflessly in Jesus name.

AMEN

Letters From God 5th Day :

Love Is Not Easily Provoked

" Love is not easily provoked " 1Corinhians 13 : 5

The people that are truly in love are not easily provoked. Love has no place for anger ,no matter how you try to provoke the person in love he or she will never loose his temper. It is  not easy to provoke the anger of the person love someone to be angry at the person no matter the offence they commit  .

That is what Jesus did when demonstrating the love of God for humanity. We found out that they crucified Christ and despite all the  abuse. Jesus was not provoked to curse the people in  any way, but rather he prayed for them.

" Then said Jesus, father forgive them , for they do not what they do ..?

Luke 23:34  The fact is the Lord   Jesus prayed for his

Page 18

enemies out of love. That is why he said God should not charge them for the sin of murder ,even though they killed him. If our Lord Jesus was actually provoked by all the things they did to him ,he would have cursed those who crucified him, They spat on him, they slapped him, they scorged him and plaited created a crown  of thorns on him  .

All these was enough to provoke him ,but because of love Jesus Christ was never provoked. " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. " Romans 5:8

Because Jesus died out of love for us ,and as a display of his perfect love toward us Jesus Christ never got angry even with those that crucified. We see a similar situation with Stephen, as they stone him to death, he still showed them heaven and he was never provoked to pray against his enemies. In his love display he rather prayed for them .

" And he kneeled down, and cried with a load voice. Lord, lay not this sin to their charge ,and when he had said this he fell asleep. " Acts 7:60 In praying for the enemies,

Page 19

he demonstrated the love of Christ, the kind of love that Jesus told the disciples to display towards their enemies,.

" But I say which hear ,love your enemies, do good to them which hate you. Bless them that curse you and pray for them which despitefully use you. " Luke 6:27 -28 Whenever we pray for our enemies, it is a sign of love ,so true love is not easily provoked, if you claim to love your spouse you will not be angry too soon or show quick temper when relating to him or her.

PRAYER

Lord help me to love in such a way that  I will never be easily provoked in Jesus name.

AMEN

Letters From God 6th Day : Who Is Your Neighbour

"Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was a neighbour unto him that fell among thieves. " Luke 10: 36

When God said we should love our neighbour as yourself we have to understand in detail who our neighbour actually is .Because God said " And the second like unto it ,thou shalt love neighbour as thyself. " Matthew 22:39 This means we need to know and understand who really fit into the place of neighbour .So er we find out that somebody practically asked Jesus this question. " ...And who is my neighbour ?  " Luke 10:39

Jesus actually used the parable of the good Samaritan to answer and to explain his answer. ( Luke 10:30 -37)In this parable we see three different personalities that were supposed to be neighbours to this wounded person,  the priest, the levite, and the good Samaritan. The person who proved to be sure neighbour according to Jesus is the Samaritan who helped him.

Page 21

" But a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came where he was ,and when he saw him ,he had compassion on him ." Luke 10:33 The issue here is that this  Samaritan saw a neighbour in this wounded person. " Which now of these, thinkest thou, was a neighbour unto him that fell among thieves ? ,And he said, he that showed mercy on him .Then said Jesus unto him Go and do thou likewise. " Luke 10:36 -37 .In this parable what Jesus is revealing to us about a neighbour this  simple fact .

A neighbour is a person nearby, or a person by your side , a person you can see, talk to  ,do business with, a co-tenant ,a coworker ,a person you meet on the road side, a customer, passersby,  people you know and all the  people you come  in contact with, far or near. People you are in position to love ,show compassion and all the people you can actually help and demonstrate love to .In  a nutshell your neighbour is simply your fellow humanbeing.

This means we must not be partial in the way we choose to deal with people, because in the parable we discovered

Page 22

that the  priest could have helped the wounded, but he did not show love. Probably because he didn't know him and moreover he was not his relatives.

Another reason is that he did not really care about anyone, but himself. The Levite also was in the same category with the priest. But the Samaritan was full of love and compassion for any one in need, whether he knows you or not ,whether you are a relative or not .

PRAYER

Lord my God help me to love my neighbour as myself in Jesus mighty name .AMEN

Letters From God 7th Day :The God kind Of Life

" For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the father and was manifested unto us. " 1 John 1:2

The God kind of life is the only life that defines the immortality of God. The God kind of life is the life referred to us eternal life which only God gives his children. It is the life that Jesus Christ came to manifest to the whole world. Before Jesus Christ came, this life was hidden with the father and only God had that life. It is the life that knows no beginning nor ending, it is the kind of life described in Revelations 1:8

Jesus describesthe life of God in full detail in this portion of scripture ;  Alpha and Omega.that is  A and Z  ,this means God begins ends every life, but he has no beginning nor ending. The next phrase is the  " the beginning and the ending " which also implies that God's life begins every other life and the same ends every

Page 24

other life. In reality God determines life, it's beginning and it's ending.

Another phrase that describes the God kind of life is " which is, which was and which is to come. "  Here it is emphasizing a God who entails the past of life and things. The present life which is, and God is also a  God who knows and controls the future, " which is to come " This means God's life is from everlasting to everlasting, from generation to generation and from age to age .It is a perpetual life, unabated and continual. Jesus describes this life in another scripture as resurrection and the life. " Jesus said unto her ,I am the resurrection, and the life , he that believeth  in me though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25

The resurrection means it is reviving life, it quickens or gives life to people or the dead .Jesus manifested the life of God, therefore he is the life ." But is now made manifest by the appearing of our saviour Jesus Christ ,who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, z Timothy 1 :10

The God kind y life abolishes death, the death of going to

Page 25

hell fire. ( Revelations 20:14-15 )Jesus came to establish immortality with the people of God who believe in him .

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ I receive this life of God into my soul life ,from today I choose to enjoy the life of God forever in Jesus name.

AMEN

Letters From God   8th day :

The Tree Of Life

" In the midst of the  street of  it ,and on either side of the river ,was there the tree the tree of life ,which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month : and leaves of the tree were for the  healing of the nations. " Revelations 22:2

The tree of life is the one that God created to ensure that human beings will eat and enjoy everlasting  life. Every tree that God created has one portion more functions in the  human body .There are some that builds up the body, others heal particular diseases, and ailment. And God created the tree of life also ,that is supposed to give human beings everlasting life .

" And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the  sight ,and good for food ;  and the tree of life also in the  midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Page 27

" Genesis 2: 9

The most important tree in the garden were the tree of life first,  and secondly the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God wanted us to eat the tree of life and live forever, but on the condition that we should not eat the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil makes people do evil at will, God however did not want us to do much evil and live forever doing this evil. The devil deceived Adam and Eve and they ate the forbidden fruit, therefore God also decided to stop them from eating the tree of life.

" And the Lord God said, behold, the man is become as one of us ,to know good and evil, and now ,lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the  tree of life and eat ,and live forever. Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. " Genesis 3: 22-23  The reality here is that God had to stop the man and his wife from eating the tree of life and thereby living long because of

Page 28

disobedience.

We are however assured that in Christ Jesus we have the same tree of life to enjoy in eternity in the city of heaven as the book of revelation reveals that the tree bears twelve different types of fruits  for different functions in the life of the saints, and also the leaves of this tree of life is for healing nations ,kindred, tribes and tongues.

Page 29

Letters From God 9th Day : The Manifested Life

" For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the father and was manifested unto us. " 1 John 1 : 2

The Manifested life is the life of the father in heaven, it is the life that was hidden from us due to our sins. God forbid  human beings from eating the tree of life ,that could have given us everlasting life way back in the garden of Eden.

" And the Lord God said, behold, the man is become as one of us , to know good and evil, and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat and live forever. Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. " Genesis 3: 22-23

Page 30

God drove Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden on purpose, so that they will not see the tree of life nor eat of it ." So he drove out the man ,and placed at the  east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way mot keep the way of the tree of life. " Genesis 3: 24 ,Thus ,God took the human being from everlasting life so that no man had the chance of living forever. The everlasting life that was in the tree of life was hidden from us .

Jesus Christ ,however came as the manifested life for us who desire to have this everlasting life to discover it Jesus himself said among other things that he is the bread of life, the resurrection and the life. " Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. " John 6:47-48

Jesus came as a manifested life, which was hidden from human beings for ages ,because of sin .The words of Jesus all proved that he is the manifested life.

" I am the living bread which came down from heaven, if

Page 31

any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever, and the bread that I give is my flesh ,which I will give for the life of the world. " John 6: 51 Jesus Christ always revealed himself as the life of God from heaven for humanity to partake of and enjoy the father's life forever. Jesus life is a life for all to live with, the dead and the living alike.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life, he that believeth in me though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die ,Believest thou this. ? " John 11:25-26 Jesus Christ, therefore is our manifested life that God has given back to all human beings.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ I receive your manifested life in Jesus name. AMEN

Page 32

Letters From God 10th Day : The Way To Heaven

" Jesus saith unto, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the father but by me "  John 14:6

The way to heaven is on the cross of Calvary, Jesus Christ came as the way to heaven, no wonder he said,  " I am the  way " The way to heaven is only found in Jesus Christ of Nazareth,  it is the way of righteousness, it is the way of the cross and it is also described as the narrow way. " Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it " Matthew 7:14

The way to heaven is the narrow way that only a few who are willing to loose so much of weight in order to enter this narrow way can enter . On the narrow way to heaven is only a life of righteousness where obedience to the word of God is enforced. On this way to heaven is no sinful activity permitted. " And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatever worketh abomination or maketh a lie ,but they which are written in the lamb's book of life. " Revelations 21:27

Page 33

The way to heaven is the way of purity, the only people who are liable to enter are the ones who are living a life of righteousness. The way to hear is not meant for those who commit iniquity, Jesus emphasised this, " Not everyone that saith unto me ,Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name cast out devils ? and in thy name done many wonderful works .And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me ,ye that work iniquity, " Matthew 7: 21-23

The way to heaven is the way of the righteous, and not the way of the hypocrites. The aforementioned portion of scripture explains that some people would be denied entrance to the kingdom of heaven because of their lifestyle of iniquities. The way to the kingdom of heaven, is the way of commitment where the body is a sacrifice to God . " I beseech you therefore, brethren , by the mercies of God ,that ye present your bodies as a living sacrifice ,holy ,acceptable, unto   God, which is your reasonable service  .And be not conformed tho this world,

Page 34

but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God ." Romans 12:2

Page 35

Letters From God 11th Day : The Crown of Life

" Blessed is the  man who remains steadfast under trial, for he has stood the test ,he will receive the crown of life, which God promised to those who love. " James 1:12

The Crown of life is a very specific crown God will use to enthrone the saints of God who inherit the kingdom of heaven. Being a crown means is for kings to wear, therefore the saints of God who inherit the kingdom of God are established as kings.  " And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his father, to him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen "Revelations 1:6 The saints of God will be enthroned on a heavenly seat of glorious inheritance.

The Crown of life signifies living forever in the presence of God all the  time. A life that knows no death, it is the immortality of God known as everlasting life .Anyone who is crowned with the  crown of life has overcome death,

Page 36

and for that matter will ever in eternity. Jesus promised that the crown of life is for those overcome temptations such as persecutions ,tribulations and trials.

" Fear none of those things which thou shall suffer : behold, the devil shall cast some of you  into prison, that ye may be tried, and ye shall have tribulation ten days : be thou faithful unto death, and  I will give thee the crown of life. " Revelations 2 :10 The Crown of life is the one will establish us in the life of God forever and ever. The Crown of life is the  tromphy for the believers in Christ who serve God gloriously and have overcome all the temptations of the world.

The are  other crowns that the  Christians are entitled to in the  kingdom of heaven, crown of  glory, crown of righteousness , the crown of life etc . Because in heaven we shall live as kings ,we are to be crowned with these crowns .We encourage even the crown of gold ,that will be set on our heads in the  kingdom of heaven. All these a re the crown that we shall  have in heaven, not on earth. Because, our kingdom is from heaven, so we shall be crowned there.

Page 37

Concerning the crown of gold the scriptures records " For thou preventest with the blessings of goodness, thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. " Psalm 21 : 3

Concerning the crown of of glory the word declares,  " And when the chief shepherd shall  appear, ye shall

receive a crown of glory that fadeth  not away " 1 Peter 5: 4 In reference to the Crown of righteousness the scriptures declares,  " Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day ,and not to  me only, but unto  them also that love his appearing. " 2 Timothy 4 : 8

Page 38

Letters From God 12th Day  :  Crown of Righteousness

" Henceforth there is laid up for mea crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the  righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not only to me ,but unto all them also that love his appearing. " 2:Timothy 4:8

The Crown of righteousness is the type of throne that is given to the saints of God to signify their righteous life in Christ. You must understand that in heaven the triumphant children of God are enthroned as kings with crowns on their heads .

" And has made 6 kings and priests unto God and Father ,to him be glory and dominion forever and ever Amen ." Revelations 1:6 This is why crowns are needed in heaven. The Lord want us to receive crowns that signify the  medals and trophies that God has in stock for his children.

The Crown of righteousness is therefore meant to serve as the rewards of our  inheritance in heaven. Having   The  crown in heaven makes you  a great king in the  kingdom of heaven. The truth is that, there shall be no

Page 39

slaves nor servants in heaven ,it is the city of liberty, so no slavery nor servitude shall be there. Whenever we are committed to  a life of righteousness, we must understand that God will  actually reward us for the life of  righteousness.

" He who is unjust ,let him be unjust still, he who is  filthy, let him be filthy still,he who is righteous, let him be righteous still, he who is holy  ,let him be holy still. And behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to give to everyone according to his work . " Revelations 22 : 11-12

God will actually reward us for our works of righteousness by given us these crowns of righteousness,  that shows that we are enthroned on a heavenly seat of righteousness, because we live a life of righteousness. Those who receive these crowns, are those who habitually overcome  their sinful habit and live a life of  absolute righteousness. Righteousness is well being, doing the right thing in the sight of God and people. A person who is always living in righteousness  has a great responsibility demands the word of God.

Page 40

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, help me to live a righteous life so that I can receive this crown of righteousness in eternity in Jesus name.  AMEN

Letters From God  13th Day : Selling Your Birthday

" Lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau,  who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. " Hebrews 12:16

People who sell their birthright are those who indulge in all forms of sin especially during temptations so that they can have their way out of crises. These type of people do not follow spiritual principles , therefore  they are covenant breakers. They don't value who they are in Christ Jesus like Esau, who never knew the value of a birthright. So he said,  " Look, I am about to die , so what is this birthright to me .." Genesis 25 : 32

Jacob on the other hand knew the value of a birthright, but Esau never knew the value of being a  first born. We as children of God also have our birthright in Christ Jesus. It is the  benefits we get from God,  because we are  born again in Christ Jesus. A birthright is what a person gets because he or she is the son or daughter of  a man who has the possessions . Once  you are a  child of  a rich person, you are  automatically entitled to inheritance

Page 42

and you have certain rights and privileges that  other people around him ,such as  workers,  servants, relatives, friends etc. may not  have.

" And if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him ,that we may also be glorified together. " Romans 8:17 So many people do not value sonship to God as a great privilege to inherit the possessions of the heavenly Father. That is so many children of God lie, cheat, fornicate, dupe , kill, do fraud, committ adultery, worship idols, visit shrine houses, etc. when are difficult for them .

The word of God makes it clear from the opening scripture that sins committed are means of selling our birthright in Christ Jesus our Lord to the devil .

This means the devil will have access to take over your destiny and destroy your life, because you sold it to Satan by committing sin like Esau did. The word of makes it clear that he was rejected at the time when he should had received the blessings of a first born. " For you know that afterwards when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place of repentance,

page 43

though he sought diligently with tears. " Hebrews 12:17

In the same way Jesus said, he will reject Christians who

do all forms of iniquities ." And then I will declare unto them, I never knew you, depart from me ,you who practice lawless ! " Matthew 7:23

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ help me to embrace my birthright with the lifestyle of righteousness and not sell it by committing sins , in Jesus name  I ask . AMEN

Letters From God, 14th Day : The First Fruits

" Of his own will begat He us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. " James 1:18

The first fruits are the things that are produced first as our profits in everything that we do .The first fruits are also the first of every good thing that comes out of our produce or income. In the old Testament covenant God was very much interested in the firstfruits of the produce which includes, firstborn of human beings and animals alike, It also includes the harvest of the field. God was so much interested in what opens the womb .

" The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe  a kid  in his mother's milk. " Exodus 23: 19  The firstfruits therefore were s kind of offerings that God accepts for his kingdom. God usually desire that we give

Page 45

him the first of our income, thereby making God the first beneficiary of the goods and substance we have .When you give God the first of the things that come to you, God will bless you with more of it to come.

For instance Hannah gave Samuel as a firstfruits to God in a vow ." Then she made a vow and said, ' oh Lord of hosts ,if thou will indeed look on the affliction of your maidservant and remember me,and not forget your maidservant, but will give your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head ." 1  Samuel 1:11

God answered her and she later honoured God, by giving Samuel to the  Lord. Samuel was given to the Lord as a loan ,in another verse Hannah said " Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord, as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord. " 1 Samuel 1:28

The priest Eli also blessed them, she and her husband, " And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife and said, the Lord give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to

Page 46

the Lord. And they went unto their own home.  " 1 Samuel 2:20 So firstfruits are given to the Lord as loans which come back to us with interest .We see that not only did Hannah had a child again, but she had five more children born from her womb after Samuel was given as a firstfruits to the Lord. "  And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord ." 1 Samuel 2: 21

PRAYER

Lord I offer my life as a firstfruit and also every good substance I get I will always give you the  firstfruit offerings ,help Lord to fulfil my vows of firstfruits in Jesus name. AMEN

Letters From God 15th Day : Feed My Sheep

" He saith unto him again the second time, Simon  ,son of Jonas, lovest thou me ? He saith unto him ,yea ,Lord, thou knowest that I love thee .He saith unto him, feed my sheep. " John 21:16

God told us in the opening scripture to feed the sheep .This is a message that Jesus actually was declaring to Peter the apostle. The sheep is significant of the people of God also known as children of God. For instance Jesus said " I am the  good shepherd;  and I know my sheep, and am known by my own " John 10:14

So the sheep which represents the children of God must be fed with the word of God .That is the feed for the sheep ( people  ) of God ,but it is in the hands of the shepherd.

Jesus actually wanted Peter to nurture and care for the multitudes of the disciples that Jesus was leaving behind. The Psalmist explains " Know that the Lord He is God ,it is

Page 48

He who has made us and not we ourselves, we are His people and the sheep of his pasture ." Psalm 100:3 The work of feeding the sheep is the  art of shepherding the people of God as though  they are sheep.

The work of every minister of the  gospel is to feed the sheep by ministering the word of God and prayer to them. This they did for the early disciples who believed in Christ. As the book of Acts explains. " And they continued steadfastly in the  apostles doctrine and fellowship in the breaking of bread ,and in prayers. " Acts 2:42 The doctrine of the apostles is the feed for the people, I mean the soul ( or spirit ) for their spiritual growth.

Feeding God's sheep therefore is the responsibility of the matured disciples to the newly converted disciples of Christ. Apostles Paul also instructed Timothy  " And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.  " 2 Timothy 2:2

The feed is all about teaching God's people to know the Lord and they in turn will teach others the same thing.

Page 49

The  feeding of the sheep is all about teaching nations to know the Lord so they could serve him.

This is the great commission that God gave to the church, " Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son ,and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you ,and lo ,I am with you always, even to the end of the age .Amen. " Matthew 28 : 19-20 If you have been taught, then you must also teach others, if you have been fed ,then you must also feed others.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ I thank you for feeding me with the spiritual feed, which is the word of God. Help me to also feed others with the same feed in Jesus name. AMEN

LettersFrom God 16th Day :  The Cost of Preaching

" The  I disciple my body and bring it unto subjection, lest ,2 hen I have  preach to others, I myself should become disqualified. " 1 Corinthians 9: 27

It cost to be a preacher of the gospel, this means there is a price to pay for that for that to be possible. There are areas of discipline ,self denial, sacrifice and service , a person must be able to pay all these prices in order to be a good preacher. Apostle Paul says that he has to discipline his own body by bringing it into subjection, so that he will not sin with his body after preaching to others.

If you want to preach to others about a life of righteousness, you must be able to discipline your body in such a way that you will be able to overcome the temptation to sin against God. That is what Jesus said about self denial ." Then He said to them all ,if anyone desires to come after me ,let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me ." Luke 9:23 The

Page 51

preacher must be able to deny himself or herself of all the worldly pleasures of sin .This is  because you preach against sin and for that matter you must be able to live a sinless life.

The cost of preaching is the  life of righteousness and you must be able to live that life of righteousness. Don't be like those who preach and don't practice what they preach, because they do not subdue their fleshly and lustful desires ." You therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself ?  You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal ? do you steal ?  You who say ,Do not commit adultery, do you commit adultery?  You who abhor idols, do you rob temples. " Romans 2:21-22

If a preacher does not discipline his or her body ,he could preach and still live in sin .All  because he is not paying the price of preaching;  this price of preaching is to do what you preach,or practicing what you confess and believe in God's word. If you preach righteousness, then you must be righteous, if you preach  prayer, then

Page 52

you must be prayerful. If you preach giving, then you must be a giver. Jesus was not just preaching to the disciples, but he also examplified what he taught.

" For I given you an example, that you should do what I have done to you. " John 13:15 The cost of preaching therefore is to be an example to those you preach to ,otherwise people will point accusing fingers at you .

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for making me a preacher, help me to pay the price of preaching, that is to practice what I preach in Jesus name. AMEN

Letters From God 17th Day  : The Unlearned

" My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being a priest for me .Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. " Hosea 4:6

The unlearned are those who do not know the word of God, they are ignorant of the Holy Scriptures. They lack knowledge of God, and his ways ,they not know the law ,the truth, the way ,the grace, the life of God, the life of righteousness. The Holy Spirit, our Lord Jesus Christ. The unlearned are the spiritual illiterate who are not in discipled enough to know God and our Lord Jesus Christ and his doctrine.

They are the category of Christians who do not study the scriptures and as a result, they are very ignorant the way of the Lord. The Athenians were of this sort ,they worshippedGod out of ignorance. " For as I passed by ,and beheld your devotions ,I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD ,whom therfore ye

Page 54

ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. " Acts 17 : 23 They referred to God Almighty as "the unknown God " because they were not learned in the Scriptures.

Those who are unlearned are so much ignorant of God's way of unrighteousness, " For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their righteousness, have submitted unto the righteousness of God. " Romans 10:3 The unlearned are the self righteous people who lack understanding into the things of God. They always misinterpret scripture because of their way of reasoning. When you are not walking with Jesus in the spirit. Peter and John had to overcome this life of being unlearned by walking with Christ. Afterwards people saw that they received their learning from Christ.

" Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John ,and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men ,they marvelled and took knowledge of them ,that they had been with Jesus. " Acts 4: 13

Jesus himself said we have to come and learn from him, and in fact is the meaning of a disciple of Christ. He is a

Page 55

learner after Christ. " Take my yoke upon you ,and learn of me ,for I am meek and lowly in heart,  and ye shall find rest unto your souls. " Matthew 11:29

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, reach me your ways and help me to  overcome spiritual ignorance. Give me the grace to learn  in order to know, in Jesus name. AMEN

Letters From God, 18th Day :   The Tares Among The Wheat

" But while man slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way ." Matthew 13:25

The tares were sown by the enemies on purpose to destroy the wheat in the Parable of Jesus. The wheat represent the children of the kingdom, those who are genuinely born-again in the house of God. Whereas the tares represent the children of the devil, the impostors, the hypocrites in the house of God. These are apparelled in sheep's skin even though they are wolves and they are set in the kingdomof God and in the house of God, amongst the believers in Christ Jesus.

" The enemy that sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the world ;  and the reapers are the angels. " Matthew 13 : 39 The devil has managed to sow the seed of evil in the house of God, this are the wife wicked people in the house of God, who go around creating havock in the house of God and messing up things in the kingdom

Page 57

of God. They deny Christ in their lifestyle, even though they profess to know him .They are the type Jesus Christ described as evil, like Judas Iscariot.

" Jesus answered them,Have I chosen you twelve and one you is devil ? He spake of Judas  Ischariot the son of Simon ,for he it was that should betray him ,being one of the twelve. " John 6: 70-71 The Lord said Judas a devil, not just from the devil, but is a devil himself.

This category of people are very close to the man of God, they could be among church elders, pastors, deacons, choristers, ushers or bible teachers, yet they are the devil.

" The field is the world, the good seeds are the children of the kingdom. ; but the tares are the children of the wicked one ." Matthew 13: 38 This is what the world is made of ,and also the church, it is full of God's children and the children of the devil who practice all forms of evil in the world and in the houseof God. That is the more reason why you are not suppose to just imitate anybody in church, but you must follow those who follow Christ. " Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of the

Page 58

Christ."1Corinhians 11:1

The tares among the wheat are those Christians who are operating for the anti-Chrust,they use the word of God to practice much evil in  the house of God, to deceive the very elect, if it is possible.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ I thank you for revealing this to me ,help me to follow those who follow Christ Jesus our Lord.

Letters From God 19th Day : The Children Of The Kingdom

" The field is the world, the good seeds are the children of the kingdom, but the tares are the children of the wicked one. "  Matthew 13 : 38

The children of the kingdom are those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their saviour. They have come to accept  the Lord Jesus Christ, and are born-again and spirit filled. The children of the kingdom are those who are pursuing the eternal life in God's kingdom. They are led by the spirit of God, and for that matter they have come to recognise the voice of God. " For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. " Romans 8:14

The children of the kingdom are those who are separatedfrom the life of sin." Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing :and I will receive you. And I will be a father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters ,saith the Lord Almighty. " 2 Corinthians

Page 60

6 : 17-18 The children of the kingdom are those who are consecrated in their heart and have decided to abstain from all forms of sinful appearance.

God receives us as his children if we forgo all the sinful ways of the world. For instance the apostle John cautions, " Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him .For all that is in the world,  the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life oise not of the Father, but is of the world. " 1  John 2:15-16 Those who are the children of the kingdom are suppose to only live the Lord and not the sinful world of lust, and pride which destroys sinners.

The children of the kingdom are those who are delivered from the powers of darkness. " who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son ." Colossians 1:13 The children of the kingdom are heavenly minded and focus on things, above. " If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the

Page 61

right hand of God. Set your affection on things above. , and not on things on the earth. " Colossians 3 : 1-2

PRAYER

I am a child of the kingdom, therefore I am kingdom minded and heavenly focused. Above all I love the Lord and not the things of the world. Therefore help me Lord by your grace in Jesus name. AMEN

Letters From God 20th  Day :  The Children Of The Wicked One

" The field is the world, the good seeds are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. " Matthew 13 : 38

The children of the wicked one are those people who have sold themselves to do evil, They are working with the devil in his mischievous devices." The wicked one" is the name  used to describe the devil in his wicked activities. The devil is always distinguished by the sinful life style that he does in the life of others. A person is described as a child of belial in the bible when he or she rebels against the authority of God's word ; such a person can be rightly called the child of the wicked one.

" Certain men ,the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known ." Deuteronomy 13:13 The children of Belial represent the children of the wicked one in this portion of scripture. We discover that they try to turn away the

Page 63

people of God from serving God, and deceive their hearts so that they will follow them in their evil deeds.

They are always found in the midst of the righteous ones, they could be fellow church members or Christian leaders and prophets who practice all forms of evil in the name of the Lord to deceive the precious children of God.They are the type like Judas Iscariot, which Jesus said is evil ," Jesus answered them, did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve. " John 6 : 70-71 The Lord knew how evil Judas could be, because he is the child of the wicked one.

Nowadays, Satan has positioned these children of the wicked one in the midst of the children of God. Jesus further called them "wolves in sheep's skin  " ,because of their hypocrisy. " Behold, I send you forth, as sheep in the midst of wolves, be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves ." Matthew 10:16

The children of the wicked one are like tares among the

Page 64

wheat, because they mingle with the children of God to cover up their deception. The apostle Paul warns  " Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation. " Philippians 3:2

PRAYER

Lord help me to overcome these children of the wicked one, so they will not deceive  and lead me astray in Jesus mighty name. AMEN

Letters From God 21st Day :  Those Who Offend The Kingdom

" The son of man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness. " Matthew 13: 41

Those who offend the kingdom are those Christians who do not honour the things of the kingdom. They are God's children who are not really committed to the things of God, they are described as rebels in the book of Isaiah 1:2 " Hear ,O heavens,  and hive ear ,O earth ! For the Lord has spoken : I have nourished nd brought up children, And they have rebelled against me " They are those who are given to temptations of all kind, they do evil and teach others through their influence to do evil as well.

They practice lawlessness and all forms of disobedience. Jesus actually warned such people in his teachings, "

Page 66

Then said he unto the disciples, it is impossible that offences will come : but woe unto him, through whom they come. " Luke 17:24 Those who offend the kingdom are the type of Christians who are closer to the things of God, but they are not part of the spiritual things. There are a few examples of those category of people in the Holy Bible. The scriptures cautions , " Now I beseech you brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which have learned and avoid them. For they are such serve not the Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly : and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. " Romans 16:17

They create confusion in the house of God, they fight against rules, laws and order in the house of God. They are not submissive to leadership and authority in the house of God. Jesus warned the Pharisees " But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men ,for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in ." Matthew 23:13

Page 67

The Pharisees are the category of people who offend the kingdom, they don't want to serve God nor go to heaven. At the same time they offend others who want to serve God, faithfully by their sinful character of influence. Nowadays we have these type of Christians in the church who offend others by their evil behaviour, these are the church workers, who do much evil, some ushers, deacons, elders, even some pastors who do evil to offend people who want to serve God genuinely, because they are not being a good example to the flock.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I thank you for saving me , help me not to be offensive to others nor be offended anyone because of the evil behaviour of others in your kingdom, in Jesus name.

AMEN

Letters From God 22nd Day :  What Is Your Name ?

" So He said, what is your name ? He said, Jacob " Genesis 32 :27

Your name is the first hand information a person gets about you ,to know who you are. A person's name defines the destiny of the person. In the bible we discover that God gives names to promise to describe their mission on earth. As your name is ,so are you, " ...for as his name is, so is he ,Nabal is his name, and folly is with him ..." 1 Samuel 25 : 25 Nabal probably means a fool and that actually was the character of this man .

The angel ask Jacob what is your name, Jacob means a supplanter,  ( or deceiver ) thus he lived a life of deception,  " And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob?  for he has supplanted me these two times : he took away my birthright;  and behold, now he hath taken away my blessing...? Genesis 27:36

Your name brings with it your destiny, that is why you must know what your name stands for. It was said of the saviour, " And she shall bring forth a son ,and thou shalt

page 69

call his name Jesus,  for he shall save his people from their sins " Matthew 1:21

The name Jesus  ( Yeshua in Hebrew ) means  a God who is our salvation, thus the mission of Jesus was described in his name. Another name given to Christ further explains his deity " Behold, a virgin shall be with a child, and shall call his name Emmanuel, which be interpreted is ,God with us ." Matthew 1:23 This name emphasize the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord and God Almighty. Your name can have a positive or negative effect in your life as a Christian.

That is why a change of name is possible at times, Jacob was changed to Isreal  ( a prince with God ) Genesis 32 : 28 Abram  was changed to Abraham  ( a father of nations ) " Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham, for a father of many nations have I made thee ." Genesis 17:5 We discover that Abraham started having the promised children when his name was changed.

Jabez also had a similar experience " And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren : and his mother

Page70

called his name Jabez, saying, because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Isreal, saying Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me ? And God granted him that which he requested. " 1 Chronicles 4 : 9-10

PRAYER

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for touching my name ,impact my name with glory and power and take away any evil attachment to my name, in Jesus name. AMEN

Letters From God 23rd Day :  Three Days With Jesus

"  I have compassion on the multitudes, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat . " Mark 8:2

The multitudes spend three whole days with Jesus in the wilderness camp. What were they doing with Jesus in the wilderness for those three days?  Day and night they were with Jesus in the desert place just listening to the teaching of Christ. Of course we know that Jesus did nothing else than to teach them for those three days. The disciples and the multitudes alike were in the wilderness with Jesus.

The words of Christ were so enjoyable to the people they never thought of food, neither were they hungry. This is because the word of God was food enough for them so long as they delighted in the word. Jesus said, " It is the spirit that quickeneth;  the flesh profiteth nothing : The

Page 72

words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. " John 6:63 The word satisfied their souls to the extent they never bordered about food, because they were in the spirit.

For people to spend three days with Christ without food, it can only be explain as a miracle, because they did not feel hungry. It is Jesus idea that they should give them food before sending them away. Jesus realised that they had " ... nothing to eat. " Jesus also knew that they were coming from a  very far away and walking back without food, having eating nothing for three days, they might faint on the way ." And If I send them away fasting to their own houses ,they will faint by the way for diverse of them came from far ." Mark 8: 3

Jesus really fulfilled scripture for this people who sought the kingdom of God first by listening to Christ's teachings for three days no stop and they never worried about food. Mathew 6 : 33 Jesus promised " But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you. "

Page 73

Jesus added food to them because they sought to know about the kingdom of God for three days just hearing Jesus teach the word, neither did they complain of hunger .This means they enjoyed the matters of the kingdom that Jesus thought them more than anything else to the extent they forgot about food.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus help me to enjoy your presence and your word more than anything else in Jesus name. AMEN

Letters From God 24th Day  : Christ's  Compassion

" I have compassion on the multitudes , because they have now been with me three days and have nothing to eat. " Mark 8:2

Jesus is the one that had compassion on the multitudes, He felt for their needs, and considered the fact that without food they could faint on their way home, since they came from a very far place. Compassion can be defined as sympathetic pity and concern for thesufferings or misfortune of others. Christ Jesus is full of pity for those who are suffering and are in need. That is the more reason Christ always meets our needs.

He knows our sorrows and feels our pain, because he has been there before, " For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. "  Hebrews 4:15 Why Jesus could emphasis  with  us and is because he has been our situation before, he felt pain and sorrow at the crucifixion and for that he is able to show the same concerned for us his disciples.

Christ compassion always moved him to do things to save

Page 75

the situation, to help the needy, heat the sick and provide solution to those who are troubled especially when we believe in him and call upon him to save the situation. " And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitudes, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick ."  Matthew 14 : 14 Much of Jesus ministry to the people was prompted by his compassion for them, because Jesus sees that they have a need, yet there is  no helper for them.

" But when he saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered as sheep having no shepherd. " Matthew 9:36 Jesus sees our emptiness especially when we have no shepherd over our soul, when the Lord is not in charge of destiny. Then he could see danger ahead of their lives. God told Moses that he sees and knows our sorrows. " And the Lord said, I have seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters,  for I know their sorrows ." Exodus 3:7

Page 76

PRAYER

Lord God ,I thank you for you know my sorrows, and you have compassion on me ,therefore deliver me and help me out of every evil situation in the name of Jesus.

Amen

INTRODUCTION

This book is the annunciation for the ordinary and a natural person to understand the totality of the mission of Christ and the work of salvation. “Sin, Righteousness and Judgment” will enlighten you to know what sin is and what it is to sin and the way of righteousness that God has given to us. In the end we also discover the judgment of God for the disobedient.

This material constitutes three dimensional topics that entails the message of salvation. Thus sin, Righteousness and Judgment. It is the will of the Lord that everyone who peruses this reading material will come to full knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“And when he is come, je will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of Judgment” JOHN 16: 8

PART 1: SIN

Chapter 1: CONCEPT OF SIN

“Of Sin, because the believe not me” John 16: 9

Sin is a word that everyone is so conscious of, however in a world like this everyone has his or her own concept of what sin is. People have their own standard of life and belief of what is and what is not sin to their conscious.

We are living in a world where people have a life style of sin and yet can justify themselves with flimsy excuses. According to the word of God, sin is defined as the transgression of the law.

“Whosoever committed transgressed also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3: 4. The fact is, God has given us (human beings) a standard of life and this standard are found in the word of God 9the law). Whenever you do anything contrary to God’s word.

It is a transgression and for that matter it becomes sin. God gave human beings so many laws, rules, stipulations, ordinances, regulations and precepts in his word, which is basically the Holy Bible.

Therefore, to disobey the word of God is sin for you the disobedient against God Almighty. The word transgression goes along with disobedience to God’s word.

“For if the word spoken by Angels was steadfast and every transgression and disobedience receive a just recompense of reward”. Heb. 2: 2.

God is so serious about his laws that, he cannot tolerate anyone who has a habit of disobeying the word, such a person is declared a sinner by God’s Standard.

There is sin because there is law, so whoever you break the law, it is called sin. Just as there is darkness because there is light, whenever the light goes off, then the darkness appear.

“Because the law worketh wrath for where no law is, there is no transgression”. Romans 4: 15. Sin is usually committed against God alone, even though your sins can offend your fellow human, but it is God you have dishonored God by despising his law.

In the Holy Scriptures (the Bible) there are number of words that are associated with sin, these are iniquity, law-breakers, transgression, disobedience, offense, perversion, wickedness, evil, trespass, unrighteousness, lawlessness, defile, abomination, atrocities, mischief, misconduct, offence etc. All this words define and explain the complexity of sin to the human being.

CHAPTER 2

THE STIGMA OF SIN

" Some men's sins are open before hand, going before to judgment, and some men they follow after." 1 Timothy 5:24

Sin can be a stain that can be attached to you wherever you go and in whatever you do. This means the sin trails behind you and its glueing effect is always present whenever you find yourself . In fact it is becomes a stigma and as such it is a spot and a blemish on your spiritual and physical personality. It is described as a filthy garment on you as in the case of Joshua the high priest.

" Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel... take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, behold I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will cloth thee with a change of garments ..." Zechariah 3-3-4 The evil that people do always follow them and as such it becomes part of their destiny, till they repent and receive Christ and have their sins forgiven. Then they are cleansed by the blood.

" And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes , sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you ." 2 Peter 2:13 When you take pleasure in sin ,it becomes a spot on your spiritual garment and that makes you unclean .It also brings a disgraceful consequences at the end . Whenever you choose to disobey God's word , the act of sin committed is attached to you forever and that is the blemish on you.

On you Christ however used the word of God to take away the stigma form our lives. So we can be whole in order to receive salvation. “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.

That he might, present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but it should be holy and without blemish”.

Ephesians 5: 26 – 27. Speaking of the church as an entity is referring to the individual members (the Christians).

It is the blood of Jesus Christ and the word that actually can take the stigma of a life time that follows you because of your sins. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin”. 1 John 1: 7

CHAPTER 3

WHY WE SIN

“Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelled in me.” Romans 7: 20.

There are two basic reasons why we as human beings indulge in sin. The first and foremost reason is there is a law, that brings restriction and also forbids us to do so many things that we would like to do naturally.

For instance, the first time human beings sinned was when Adam and his wife disobeyed God’s law, by eating the forbidden fruits (Genesis 3: 1 – 13). The law brings a temptation of disobedience and of course God’s test of loyalty for us is obedience.

“What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid Now, I had not known sin, but by the law, for I had not known lust, except the law had said, thou shalt not covet”. Romans 7: 7. In other words, the law introduced sin. “For when no law is, there is no transgression”. Romans 4: 15.

The second reason we sin is because there is s sinful nature in every human being and for that matter we are bound to commit sin. The tendency to do evil is present in the human heart and that is why God in his infinite wisdom gave us commandments. “For the good that I, would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do” Romans 7: 19. The human nature has a flaw in itself, because it lacks the capacity to be good, rather it has the ability to do evil (i.e. bad things)

That is the reason we all need the savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua) to deliver us from the power of sin. “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.” Romans 8. This means the flesh is always weak, in the sense that it is always failing to abide by the rule of righteousness, which is the law.

Jesus therefore, having a strong flesh defeated the strength of the law by obedience, because he committed no sin in the days of his flesh.

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who know no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him”. (Christ) Romans 2: 5 – 21. You can actually overcome sin if you receive Christ into your heart. Those who have been saved have received grace to overcome the temptation of sin.

CHAPTER 4

THE LAW AND SINNERS.

“Knowing this that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers. For man’s layers”. 1 Timothy 1: 9

The law certainly was introduced because of the sinfulness of the people. When there is no law people behave anyhow and they tend to whatever they deem fit for them to do. People usually misbehave whenever there is no law. Because, law brings restriction and prohibition, people cannot behave any how when there are laws.

As a result, there is always orderliness and harmony in the human society. God in his infinite wisdom gave us laws to keep us on right track. The law has one sole purpose that is to establish love. Love for God and love your neighbor. “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”. Galatians 5: 14. The law therefore has to teach sinner how to love people.

“Wherefore the law was our school master to bring us into Christ, that we might be justified by faith”. Galatians 3: 24. The law is meant to educate sinners, the way of righteousness revealed by love. This is sure because if you love someone you will not steal from the person, you won’t kill the person, you won’t lie against the person, and you won’t sleep with his wife or her husband. The law has a specific responsibility to instruct sinners on the way of righteousness.

The law give sinners the knowledge of sin”. For by the law is the knowledge of sin”. Romans 3: 20. This means the law gives us information of what sin actually is at least for a sinner to be able to distinguish between sin and righteousness. The unsaved person needs the law to clarify his or her state of affairs. To know whether you are righteous or sinner, it is the law that will bring you to that knowledge.

A person living in sin can be right in their own conscious, because every sinner has his or her own justifiable reasons for committing sins in their lives. Although the reason doesn’t make a sinner right. It is therefore good for the sinner to identify with the law of God, so that he or she can discover the life of righteousness. “For until the law sin was in the World: but sin is not inputted when there is no law”. Romans 5: 13

CHAPTER 5:

The consequence of sin “then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.” Leviticus 26:28

Of course sin have a lot of consequence, in fact the gravity of sin and the aftermath effect of sin in the human life is enormous. Throughout the entire bible especially the Old Testament we see how God punish the Israelites for their sins. In the opening scripture, God said he will chastise them seven times, seven symbolizes perfection, and this means God will give them the perfect punishment they deserve for their sins.

“Is not destruction to the wicked? And a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?” Job 31:3 God really destroys the wicked at the end, yea that is their punishment.

The consequence of sin

People that refuse the word of God and continually disobey God’s word by doing evil to their neighbor and said to be wicked people, and such people are usually destroyed at the end. The lord is a merciful God and wants people to be given a chance to repent, and this shows how merciful our God is.

However, when people refuse the way of righteousness and embrace sin, they are destroyed at the end. “for the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater that the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was over thrown as in a moment and no hands stayed on her”

Lamentation 4:6 God consumed the whole city of Sodom for their sin (Homosexuality and Lesbianism) with fire from heaven.

Sin makes God to turn against his people. In fact, God repented creating human beings because of sin. “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth… for it repenteth me that I have made them.” Gen. 6:5 – 7.

That is the reason why we cannot endorse sin in our society, because it will incur the wrath of God upon human beings. In essence we ought to overcome the temptation of sin by using God’s word. Whenever we tolerate sin in our lives, we should know that it brings destruction. In the days of Noah we see how God destroyed the whole world with flood, yet saved Noah and his family because of their righteousness.

PART 2

CHAPTER 6

CONCEPT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

“And is shall be our righteousness if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.” Deuteronomy 6:25.

Righteousness is living right in the sight of God by doing what is right. This is a life without wrong doing or evil behavior. Righteousness is the lifestyle of God for every human being to live up to. It is the standard of life God expect from the ordinary human being that was created by God. Among other things righteousness entails obeying the word of God and it is the exact opposite of sin (disobey God’s word).

It is a pathway of God for us to follow as exemplified by Christ. “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who I knew no sin; that we me might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (Christ) 2 Corinthians 5:21 Jesus is our perfect example of what righteous is. This is the way of life that God want all people to follow. “He restoreth my soul; he leadth me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake” Psalm 23:3

Even faith in God is another form of righteousness, because we are commanded to have faith, so whenever you have faith you are obeying God’s word and that is why it is a form of righteousness. “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is courted for righteousness”. Rom 4:5. This is not saying righteous deeds are not necessary for salvation, but rather saying affirming faith in God is another form of righteousness.

In another scripture we are told to “awake to righteousness, and sin not: for some have not the knowledge of God…” so therefore when we live in righteousness we do not commit sin, because sin is unrighteousness. Righteousness is therefore a commitment to obeying God’s word as much as possible. A person cannot be righteous if he or she is disobeying God’s word.

The purpose of righteousness is to defeat sin in the human life so that God’s kingdom will be established. “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit if life because of righteousness”. Romans 8:10. God wants us to overcome the sinful deeds by way of righteousness. To be righteous person you must adhere to the commandments of God and obey them through faith in Christ Jesus our Lord and savior.

CHAPTER 7

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST

“For Christ is the end of the las for righteousness to everyone that believeth”. Romans 10:4

The righteousness of Christ is the perfection of our Lord Jesus Christ (The Yahashua) that has been credited to the believer. This means that Christ Jesus lived a righteous life; a life without sin. Therefore, the righteousness of Christ is an account given to the believer once you give your life to Christ. We are made to receive Christ righteousness as gift once we are born-again.

“for if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteous shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” Romans 5:17. In this scripture it is clear that we use all affected by the sins of Adam that brought death to humanity. In order for God to counteract the sinful records of Adam against humanity, Christ came to credit us with righteousness. This means before Christ every human being on earth was seen as a sinner.

Therefore, Christ came to make as many as believe in him righteous by virtue of Christ righteousness. “For the hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”. 2 Corinthians 5:21. This means there was an exchange, Christ took the place of our sin (including our sinful records), and he gave his righteousness as a gift. Therefore, the righteousness of Christ is credited to us not by our deeds but by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Romans 5;18. The righteousness of Christ is what justifies the Christian regardless of their sinful past. Christ righteousness gave us the free gift (grace) and this gift give us the sense of justification and assurance of salvation. Henceforth, we do not have our own righteousness but the righteousness of Christ”.

“…not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith”. Philippians 3:9. Now therefore we are entitled the righteousness of God by faith, which came through Christ Jesus.

CHAPTER 8

THE RIGHTEOUS LIFE

“And it shall be our righteousness if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us in Deuteronomy 6:25.

The righteous life is certainly a requirement of God for the children of God. When you receive the righteousness of Christ, it will automatically yield the fruits of righteous life”. “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.” Romans 8:4

Righteousness is a strict requirement of God from every Christian. This means the righteous life ought to be a life style.

“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.” Mathew 3:8. The righteous life bears fruits of a good life, which is also formed as fruits of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance against such there is no law”. The righteous life is a life that honors God’s word. Living in obedience to the word of God.

In contrast is the ungodly life, also called wickedness. “now the work of the flesh are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling and such like; of the which I tell you before as I have also told you in time past that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” Galatians 5:19-21.

A righteous life does not do such things in the aforementioned scripture. The life of wickedness is all mentioned above anyone who indulges in right of God. The righteous life is possible when we receive grace from God to overcome the temptation of sin. “For sin shall not have dominion over you for ye are not under the law but under grace”. Romans 6:14.

The righteous life, therefore is a life of grace that enables us to overcome all the lures of sin and to be totally obedient to the word of righteousness.

CHAPTER 9:

HARVEST OF RIGHTEOUS

“Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness”. James 3:18 NIV.

Righteousness is a seed of life, whenever you sow a life of righteousness, also known as fruits of righteousness. This is the kind of blessing you reap whenever you do the right thing by obeying the word of God. Righteousness is a life that brings rewards tot eh righteous at the right time.

“And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. Galatians 6:9. In this scripture the righteous is admonished to continue in their righteousness because there is a harvest to reap at the due time. This means there is a time to receive blessings from God because of our life of righteousness. In order to reap this harvest, we need to be persistent in the life of righteousness.

The good deeds we do in obedience to the word of God brings the reward called the harvest of righteousness, just as our sinful deed brings the punishment thereof. “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting”. Galatians 6:8. The harvest is more of eternal life but because that is the only thing that is incomparable to anything material.

These are people that do all kind of sinful things in order to get material possessions such as wealth and properties. This people may cheat, kill, deceive, steal, lie, murder and commit all kinds of evil acts in order to acquire material things. But righteousness gives the righteous both material possession and eternal life which is more important for our soul.

“For bodily exercise profiteth little; but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to some” 1 timothy 4:8. The profit we set from the life of righteousness is the best because it caters for our material, spiritual and eternal needs. Jesus said “seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.  Mathew 6:3 Jesus was referring to food, drink and clothing when he said “all these things”.

(PART 3)

CHAPTER 10

CONCEPT OF JUDGMENT

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad”. 2 Corinthians 5:16.

Judgment basically is accountability to God at the final day. There is certainly going to be a day when we shall all appear before the judgment seat of God where we shall give account to God for all things we have ever done, good or evil. There and then God will hold us accountable for the good and or evil deed that that we ever did whilst were on earth. It is accountability of whatever we did with our body or in our body or which we were alive in this body.

“For God shall bring every work into judgment with every recent secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14. In judgment God is going to reward righteousness and punish sin as well. “and behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be”. Revelation 22:12

For everything that we have ever done God will bring it into account at the judgment because there is a hundred percent records of our deeds in God’s book. “and I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works”. Revelation 20:12

Judgment therefore is the design of God to punish sinners and also to reward the righteous. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15”. God’s judgment for the unrepentant is to be condemned to eternal fire of destruction. In judgment we discover the terror of the Lord against the disobedient and the devil.

“Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men (people)”. 2 Corinthians 5:11. This shows that God gives out judgment in fury, although he is a merciful God. However, at the judgment it is a terrifying scene, because then the time of mercy has exhausted. God’s judgment without mercy will be at the end of the world and especially the judgment day.

CHAPTER 11

WHO FACES JUDGMENT?

“Because he hath appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness…” Acts 17:31

The whole world will face the judgment of God at the last day. God has said in his word that we all shall appear before the judgment seat of Christ.  There and then we shall give account to God for whatever life we chose to live on earth. When the Apostle Paul was talking he said “for we shall all appear before the judgment seat of Christ”. 2 Corinthians 5:10.

“We” means all including the speaker (Paul) that is to say all Christians; the Corinthian church members included shall face judgment as well as the unbelievers. “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God and if it first begin at of us, what shall the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 peter 4:17

Judgment is for both those who obeyed God’s word to be rewarded and those who disobeyed God’s word to be punished at the last day. It is for those who are dead and those who alive. “And the sea gave us the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their work”. Rev. 20:12.

Every human being shall appear before Christ Jesus at the white throne judgment according to the Holy Bible. “And I saw the great white throne and him that sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them”. Revelation 20:11. In this judgment everything including physical, natural, fleshly and spiritual beings were present before God.

This is to say that the devil also was present for God’s judgment. “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and might forever and ever”. Rev. 20:10. Basically those who face judgment are the Christians, the unbelievers, every soul and all demons including the devil and the fallen angels.

At the judgment day no one will escape. “I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ who shall judge the quick (living) and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom” 2 Timothy4:1

CHAPTER 12

THE JUDGMENT SEAT.

“And I saw the great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them”. Revelation 20:11.

The seat of judgment is where Christ is seated at the Day of Judgment to judge all flesh, all spirits, all angels and the devil as well. The seat is a white throne in the heavens. The white is a significance of righteousness and justice manner of the judgment. There is going to a fair, just and righteous judgment at that day.

The whole world including the inhabitants of the earth and the heavens shall all appear before the judgment seat of God at the day of the judgment. There will be no place for escape at that day for those who are running away from judgment. We shall all be summoned to the seat of judgment under God’s arrangement.

“But why dost thou judge thy brother? Or why dost thou set at ----- thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” Romans 14:10 In every law court, there is always a seat reserved or made specifically for the judge to sit on and give judgment. Anyone who sit on that seat have the authority of judgment.

Hence, any one on the judgment seat is regarded as the judge, and for that have the authority to execute any deserving judgment to an accuse person. We are all accused of the sin by the devil who is also called the accuser of the brethren. “…for the accuser of tour brethren is las down, which accused them before our God day and night” Revelation 12:10.

At the judgment seat what can justify a soul is the blood of Jesus Christ and that can only be for the believer in Christ Jesus. “And they overcame him by the blood of the lambs and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their testimony and they loved not their lives unto the death,” Revelation 12:11. Jesus Christ gave us victory in the word and the blood. Why Jesus is qualified to sit on the seat of judgment is because He is the atonement of our sins. “…And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world” 1 John 2:1-2.

CHAPTER 13

THE VERDICT

“And whosoever was no found written in the book of life was cast into the Lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

The verdict for the siner at the judgment is categorically state and is a death penalty as the scriptures confirm. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. This type of death as explained in scripture is the condemnation to eternal hell fire. “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death” Rev. 20:14.

The certainty of the verdict is that it is already stated in scripture even before the judgment day, so that God could be justified in His judgment. “He that believeth on him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God.” John 3: 18. Those who do not believe are condemned already for the sin of unbelieve in the savior, Christ Jesus (Yahshua).

Once a person rejects Christ a verdict is already given against that soul because he did not believe in God’s only begotten son. “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” John 3:19. The certified reason why people reject Christ is because he is a light and people prefer darkness because of evil deeds.

That is why the verdict of eternal condemnation is given against the soul. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the Lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8. The verdict is already given against all sinful behaviors that people do and the punishment is to be cast unto the Lake of fire.

At the judgment day Jesus Christ (Yahshua) will only sit on the white throne seat to execute the verdict already given in the word of God. “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” John 12:48.

CHAPTER 14

VINDICATED BY GRACE

“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved ;)” Ephesians 2:5

The fact that Christ died for us is the grace that vindicates the believer. We were already condemned for destruction under our sinful nature. However, because we have believed in our Lord Jesus and have given our lives over to him, there is no place for condemnation for the believer. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit”. Romans 8:1.

The Lord Jesus Christ took our place of condemnation by dying for the sinner on the cross. “Who our self-bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed”. 1 Peter 2:24 Christ Jesus has already paid the price for our redemption and salvation by carrying our sins, that is to say he faced the consequence of our sinful behavior.

That is the reason we are vindicated by grace at the Day of Judgment for the simple that we believe in Christ. “For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved”. John 3:17. Jesus Christ has done the finished work of salvation for the whole world. But it is only accomplished on the platform of faith in Christ Jesus. That is the reason it is by grace we are justified at the Day of Judgment.

“But he was wounded for our transgressions he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 Jesus Christ Has Really been brutalized and punished because of our sinful deeds that is the reason he is able to save us under grace. Christ is therefore God’s gracious gift to the world against the day of judgment.”

“And not as it was by one that sinned so is the gift; for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is many offences unto justification”. Romans 5:16. The believer in Christ Jesus is therefore justified in the Day of Judgment.
